Julie Shin (Jules) has served three generations of CEOs at Citigroup, reporting into the Offices of the CEO, CFO, and Citi Ventures. She is a key player in leading enterprise transformation initiatives with management teams that drive the organization’s strategy across products, geographies, operations, technology, and global functions. Jules also focuses on scaling the benefits of technology through industry cooperation, with roles as Citi’s deputy to a U.S. bank consortium that builds joint ventures around industry safety and soundness; and leading Tech4Integrity©, an anti-corruption technology partnership transitioned to the World Economic Forum. To drive corporate innovation, she has managed portfolios of FinTech ventures to test for proof of concept and commercialization viability in improving client experiences, building internal capabilities, and delivering efficiency and growth opportunities.
Prior to joining Citi, Jules was an investment banker at Deutsche Bank covering retail, consumer, and financial technology verticals, and in corporate development and executive relationship management roles at Lincoln Financial Group.
Jules earned her MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her BA from Northwestern University. She is as an advisor and Board member to various organizations and is a 2019 Zhi-Xing Eisenhower Fellow, visiting China on a diplomatic exchange to focus on entrepreneurship and innovation as economic development tools that improve social and commercial outcomes for women. Jules is trained in integrative psychology and teaches individuals and leadership teams on neurocommunications, problem solving, and decision-making strategies.
